Do You Have a Comprehensive Song List?

I was very interested by the information that Kenny Lamm provided here. Far too often, we as worship leaders, are busy and do not usually look at every song we know when planning worship. I hope this article encourages you to be more intentional, even in song selection, in the way we plan worship so that we facilitate an atmosphere that makes it easy to worship and helps our people be expectant when they come to worship, to encounter God.

Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord! School is all but over for the semester, I only have one class to attend tomorrow and my time at seminary is drawing nigh to a close. The magnitude of this has hit me in a two different expressions of Praise the Lord.

The first expression is that I am glad it is almost over, the long drives and intensive amounts of work, in addition to my family and ministry, have been overwhelming. I am looking forward to resting…. I mean not having to drive to school every week.

The second expression is bittersweet. I am sad that my time at SEBTS is ending because I have learned a great deal about myself and God. I am also glad because of the faithfulness of God and the things that I have learned have caused me to proclaim Praise the Lord!

This reminds me of Philippians 4 where Paul says that in little or in a lot I have found my contentment in Christ. Our contentment must rest in Christ and not in circumstances because our circumstances are ever-changing but Christ is immutable, Praise the Lord!

Are you resting in the sufficiency of Christ, in His unchanging nature, his immutable presence? Can you in every circumstance proclaim boldly, as an adopted child of God, Praise the Lord!

Forgiveness

Hey guys, pardon our lack of consistent posting, the end of the semester and moves to new cities and new pastors have needed attention. We will begin posting again very soon! Expect great things as we are going to add a couple of dimensions to our site.
